Can I use insurance to pay for my treatment?

Empower Her Physical Therapy is a fee-for-service clinic and does not partner with insurance companies. This means that you are responsible for payment for physical therapy services at the time of your visit. Under insurance contracts, physical therapists are limited what type of treatment you receive and how much time they can spend with you. Dr. Jamie believes that your care deserves no limitations. By not working with insurance companies, she is able to give you the highest quality and exact care you need to help you reach your goals. She can provide you with an invoice that can you submit independently to your insurance. She accepts payment in the form of credit card, HSA, FSA, check, or cash.

What makes Empower Her Physical Therapy different than other clinics and those who accept insurance?

When you work with Dr. Jamie, you experience a fully personalized, hour-long session focused on your needs. She combines hands on therapy and wellness strategies to help you become symptom free and achieve long-term recovery. Your plan will be 100% custom to help you meet your goals. Between sessions, you have full access to communicate with Dr. Jamie regarding questions, progressions, or concerns. She also offers things like labor and deliver preparation, prescriptive exercise programming, prenatal and postpartum fitness plans, 3D movement analysis, and running assessments.

What should I expect during my initial evaluation?

The initial evaluation is 60 minutes in length. Dr. Jamie will learn about your injury, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. She will then perform a head to toe examination which involves a series of tests to determine the cause of your symptoms, perform treatment according to what she found in her assessment, and provide you with a custom program to do until your next visit. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in - workout clothing is ideal. Be sure you wear footwear that you would normally during your workouts.

How often will I see Dr. Jamie after my initial evaluation?

Not as often as you think! This is not your traditional model of pelvic floor physical therapy. Dr. Jamie utilizes a hybrid care model which means you are seeing her only in office as often as you need to achieve your goals. Women who work with Dr. Jamie have full access to communicating with her between sessions which means coming to see her in the office even less, saving you time and money while maintaining exceptional outcomes.

Do I need a prescription from my physician?

Missouri is considered a direct access state. To get treatment started, you do not need a prescription to see Dr. Jamie. If your treatment plan lasts longer than 30 days, state law requires a prescription for physical therapy from a health care provider such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or chiropractor.

For fitness coaching, no prescription is needed.

I have Medicare. Can you work with me?

Empower Her Physical Therapy is not a Medicare provider and we do not provide physical therapy services for those individuals with Medicare. Dr. Jamie can provide you with a wellness based program, but that is not considered medical treatment and would be a fee for service visit.
